Aftercare

Your claws are an investment—and with a little love and care, they’ll stay looking gorgeous for as long as possible. Here’s how to keep your nails healthy, strong, and fabulous between appointments:

Use Cuticle Oil Daily

Healthy cuticles = healthy nails. Apply cuticle oil every day to keep your nails hydrated, flexible, and less prone to breaking.

✨ Bonus: I provide a dropper bottle of cuticle oil with every new client. Bring it back next time, and I’ll refill it for free!
💧 Forgot your bottle? No worries—a replacement is available for just $5.

♻️ Already have a cuticle oil container you like? Bring any clean container, and I’ll happily refill that for free too!

Nails Are Jewels, Not Tools

Please don’t use your nails to:

  • Open cans or packages

  • Scrape off stickers

  • Replace a screwdriver (yes, it happens!)

💎 If you're hard on your hands or constantly using your nails as tools, it might be time to consider a shorter length that better fits your lifestyle.

Avoid Overexposure to Water

Water can weaken the bond between your nails and enhancements.
🧤 Wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning.
🚿 Try to keep nails as dry as possible for the first 24–48 hours after your appointment.

I cannot stress enough how overexposure to water is the worst thing for your nail enhancements.

Schedule Regular Maintenance

Don’t let your nails go too long between appointments:

  • Short/Medium Length: every 3–4 weeks

  • Long/Extra Long Nails: every 2–2.5 weeks

⏳ Waiting too long can lead to lifting, cracking, and breakage.

If You Chip a Nail…

Gently file the edge to smooth it out. This prevents it from catching on things and making the damage worse until you can come in for a repair.

As a reminder, your nails are guaranteed for 10 days after your appointment.  If you break a nail after the guarantee period, your nail can be fixed with a fee.

Be Gentle With Your Hands

Opening doors, typing, and texting can all put pressure on your nails. Try to use the pads of your fingers or your knuckles rather than the tips of your nails when doing everyday tasks.

Be Mindful with Heat

Avoid direct heat (like ovens, hair tools, or hot water) for at least 24 hours after your appointment. Some products, especially gels, can be affected by high heat too soon after curing.

Don’t Pick or Peel

Never peel off polish or enhancements—it can remove layers of your natural nail and cause serious damage. Always book a proper removal if needed.

Keep Your Nails Clean

Dirt and bacteria can collect under longer nails. Clean gently with a soft nail brush—not sharp tools.
